The Best T-shirt Quilts of 2020 - Part 4

T-shirt Quilt Details  |  The Best of

Each December I go through photos of the T-shirt quilts we made in the past 12 months. It's so difficult to choose which quilts to include or exclude. This year I have chosen 24 quilts to share with you.

24 quilts is overwhelming to look at all at once. So, I will break this into 4 parts. Here are the last 6 quilts in this series.

This examination includes the size, which border, if any, and why I like the quilt. The quilts are here in no particular order.

Coronoavirus QuiltCovid-19 or 2020 Sucks T-shirt Quilt

Style: Stained-glass - black leading.

Border: 4" pieced

Size: 60" x 72" Multi use size

About:
We actually have made this quilt 4 times! We used it as a teach tool for a series of videos we made on the stained-glass style.

It's such a fun and cheerful quilt that it was not bad having to make this over and over.

Spend a little time looking at the subject matter of the quilt and it will make you smile. It's a little happiness for a dark time.

About:
A "This is Your Life" T-shirt quilt is a window into the life of another person. You get to know what they like, where they have been and what they like to do.

Best of T-shirt quilt of 2020 - Fire IslandFire Island T-shirt Quilt

Style: Standard Too Cool Style

Border: 2" + 4" + 2" solid border

Size: 92" x 100" - Queen size

About:
This quilt is about and celebrates summers at Fire Island, New York.

The person we made this quilt for wanted a queen size quilt, but they didn't have enough T-shirts to make a quilt that size.

To make it larger, we first added blank blocks of color from their T-shirts. We then added a triple border.

The result is so colorful and cheerful. It feels like summer.

Best of T-shirt quilt of 2020 - mutedDogs and More Dogs T-shirt Quilt

Style: Standard Too Cool Style

Border: 4" pieced solid border

Size: 84" x 92" -  Full size

About:
The softness of the color pallet of this quilt just hooked me!  The border emphasizes this.

The are a lot of black T-shirts in this quilt, but it doesn't feel dark because they are spaced out with color.

This is just one of those quilts that hooked me.
