Yes. You can use almost anything, as long as the item is washable and suitable for a pillow.

What Is a T-shirt Pillow?

A T-shirt pillow is made from one or more T-shirts, sweatshirts, jerseys, baby clothes, or other washable clothing items. It gives you a useful way to hold onto a smaller group of items without needing enough for a full quilt.

A T-shirt quilt tells the whole story. A T-shirt pillow can tell one chapter.

When a T-shirt Pillow Makes Sense

A pillow may be right when:

You have one special T-shirt

Perfect for a favorite race T-shirt, school T-shirt, military T-shirt, event T-shirt, or signed team T-shirt.

You don’t have enough T-shirts for a quilt

How Many T-shirts Do You Need?

1 T-shirt

Best for one special T-shirt. We frame the graphic with colors that match the colors in it.

2 to 10 T-shirts

Possible depending on the size of the graphics and how much of each T-shirt is used.

Too many T-shirts?

Number them in priority order. We start with number one and keep going until the pillow is full. Any unused T-shirts are returned.

What Can Be Used in a T-shirt Pillow?

Don’t let the name fool you. A T-shirt pillow can include more than T-shirts, as long as the items are washable and comfortable enough for a pillow.

Your face may end up on this pillow. Avoid anything scratchy, stiff, sharp, or uncomfortable.

Types of Pillows - Beyond the T-shirt

Baseball Cap/Hat Pillows

You can have a pillow made entirely from baseball cap. These pillows are not very comfortable to lay on, but they look great.

Pricing - a per baseball cap charged of $6 is added to the cost of the standard pillow.

Why do we add a per cap charge? It takes time and skill to dissect a ball cap. Many times, the ball caps have been worn a lot and never washed. So, there is an ick factor.

You can use 25 to 30 baseball caps.

Baby Clothes Pillows

Our baby clothes pillows can be either made in a simple or complex method.

Simple - Our simple baby clothes pillows are made using a block or two from each clothing item.

Complex - These pillows also use a block from each item, but these blocks may include zippers, buttons, bows, collars and other adornments.

Memorial Clothing Pillows

A memorial pillow is made from the clothing of someone who has died. It might include T-shirts, dress shirts, sweatshirts, jerseys, jeans, robes, uniforms, pajamas, or other clothing that still feels connected to that person.

These are great if you have a lot of people who need a pillow!

You can use between 10 and 20 items in a pillow. The more items we use, a smaller piece of each item will be used.
