Longarm Machine Quilting for T-shirt Quilts

We offer long-arm machine quilting of T-shirt quilts made with the Too Cool Method. We have been long arming our style of T-shirt quilts since 2000. This is more experience than most quilters have. If you want your quilt long-arm machine quilted and are unable to find a local quilter, then perhaps we are an alternative.

Please note: We will only quilt T-shirt quilts made with the Too Cool Method. If you choose to use our method and use interfacing, we will not quilt those quilts. Interfacing makes the quilt heavy and difficult to manage.

Quilt Top

You supply the top ready to quilt per the instructions in the book.

Backing Material

You can provide the backing material ready to go on the machine per the instructions in the book. Or you can purchase the fabric from us for 27¢ an inch. This includes washing and sewing. Please choose a solid color backing material. The results will be so much nicer. Read more about that here.

Batting

You can provide the batting or we can provide it. We uses Hobbs Bonded 80% Cotton/20% poly. If we provide the batting, it costs .42 cents per inch. We will add 6" to the width of your quilt. So for a quilt that is 60" wide, the batting charge will be figured as follows: 60" + 6" = 66" x .42 = $28.

Quilting

The cost of quilting is calculated by adding the length + the width of the quilt and multiplying by 1.35*. For example, the price for a quilt that is 60" x 84" is figured as follows: 60 + 84 = 144 x 1.35 = $194.

Binding

If you would like us to bind your quilt the cost is calculated by adding the length + the width of the quilt and multiplying by .5. So for a quilt that is 60" x 84" is figured as follows: 60 + 84 = 144 x .55 = $79.

Temporary Binding

If we put the temporary binding on the quilt, the cost is calculated by adding the length + the width of the quilt and multiplying by .25. So for a quilt that is 60" x 84" is figured as follows: 60 + 84 = 144 x .25 = 36.

Borders

Borders have become popular. Please be aware that if you use cotton for your border, it won't stretch at the same rate as the insides of your quilt. We recommend using T-shirt material for your border because your results will be much, better.  *Note, you still need a temporary binding.*

Return Shipping is $18

Unless you plan to pay with PayPal or a credit card, half the estimated total cost is required when you send the quilt top to us.

*Pricing valid until 12/31/2016
