Spring has arrived and graduation is approaching. There is still time for parents and families to have a Too Cool T-shirt Quilt made for high school or college graduates. We have been making graduation quilts in earnest throughout early spring, but there is still time to have a Too Cool T-shirt Quilt made for late May and June graduations. Just be sure to contact us before sending your T-shirts at (517) 541-8225.
Quilts for Causes
Currently we searching for a worthy charity for whom to make a Too Cool T-shirt Quilt which fits the following requirements...
1. The cause needs to be having a fundraising event where a quilt could be raffled or auctioned off to raise funds. We are happy to consider any time frame - but are currently focused on looking for a event that will take place in July.
2. The cause should be one of national scope so all of our followers could possibly have T-shirts that they could donate.
3. We need one person that would be responsible for receiving the completed quilt and making sure that it is forwarded onto the organization. I would also like this person to be able to provide us feedback about how our quilt helped them raise money.
4. That person should also be able help us acquire T-shirts above and beyond what we can get from our followers.
If you are not currently participating in a charity fundraising event or cannot be the person responsible for receiving the completed quilt, check with your friends, family, and co-workers to see if they are or know of someone who is participating in a charity event. We appreciate your help and input.
Collecting Suggestion of the Month
Every year the Too Cool T-shirt Quilt employees hit a local city wide garage sale hunting for great theme T-shirts. Garage sales are a great place to find T-shirts for theme quilts. Theme quilts are quilts that are made from one theme. For example we have made Micky Mouse, M & M, Batman, Detroit Lions and many other types of theme quilts.
Garage sales are a also fun way to find T-shirts for other T-shirt quilts as well. You may even be able to find that one T-shirt you got rid of but wish you had for your own quilt now.
When purchasing a T-shirt be sure to check for stains and holes. We also suggest keeping the price around $0.25-$0.50 per T-shirt with a max of $1.00 per T-shirt. But if there is a must have T-shirt, you can spend what you will.
