The Athlete

Most athletes get yet another T-shirt at each sporting event they do. This is especially so for those on the 5K circuit. It is our society’s way of marking the event and the event’s way of advertising. Athletes love their T-shirts. The more important the race, the more important the T-shirt.

Collecting Suggestions:

Unless you are the spouse or parent of the athlete, getting their T-shirts will be tricky! But we do offer a gift certificate that will sure please any athlete with too many T-shirts.

Raffle

Is your school or organization looking for a unique way to raise funds? A Too Cool T-shirt Quilt® is an awesome way to do so.

Collecting Suggestions:

The organization or school will request each person to donate a T-shirt and $10 to $20 toward the quilt. One non profit, The American Labor Museum raised thousands of dollars with T-shirt quilts. Each labor union was asked to donate a T-shirt and $100. When they had 18 to 20 T-shirts they had us make a quilt. So doing the math, 20 x $100 = $2,000 - $350 to $400 for the quilt = profit at $1,600 per quilt. They made 10 quilts that way - $16,000.

Retirement/Boss/Company Quilts

Is the boss retiring? Is the President of your company celebrating a mile-stone? Is your company commemorating an important anniversary? Then mark the occasion with a T-shirt quilt made out of your company’s T-shirts and logo-ware.

Collecting Suggestions:

Send an e-mail to everyone in the company if it is a small company or just to your department if it is a large company asking for company T-shirts. Be sure to put a deadline on when you want the T-shirts received. Send a follow up e-mail the day
before the deadline.

You may receive duplicates of the same T-shirt, after all there are only so many company T-shirts. But it is OK to use duplicates if they are generic and not specific to just one event.
